Integrative Traditional & Western Pulmonary Care

中西医结合肺纤维化与慢阻肺养护方案

Pulmonary fibrosis describes scarring in the lungs; it has multiple causes and is not one uniform diagnosis. An integrative programme should identify which standard respiratory care and which additional interventions it actually contains.

About this guide

What to clarify

How assessment and planning work

Assessment uses the history, imaging and lung-function trend to clarify the disease and current needs. Ask which part of the plan addresses the cause, symptoms, exercise tolerance or oxygen requirement, and how each is monitored.

Before your consultation

High-resolution CT, pulmonary-function trends, oxygen needs and all conventional or herbal products.

Send existing records for an initial discussion. Do not arrange new tests, change medication or book non-refundable travel solely from this page. The receiving team should state which additional information is actually needed.

Evidence and limitations

Do not infer that a supplement or herb can reverse fibrosis. Bring all products to the respiratory consultation so interactions and organ-function monitoring can be considered. The provider must justify each added intervention separately.

Questions to ask

How should complementary treatment be discussed with lung care?

The type and cause of fibrosis must be established first. Give the respiratory team a complete list of medicines, herbs and supplements so interactions and monitoring can be considered. A complementary label does not replace disease-specific assessment.

What should be included in my written treatment plan?

The treating team should identify the proposed intervention, alternatives, relevant uncertainty, clinical eligibility, anticipated visits, monitoring and arrangements if the plan changes after assessment. Ask who is responsible for follow-up after you return home.

Price and quotation

Ask for an itemized provider quotation after the clinical team reviews your records. The scope may depend on the exact intervention, investigations, consumables, admission and monitoring. Confirm currency, validity period and what happens if the plan changes. Medical fees are paid directly to the provider; Uwell coordination is separate.
