Mechanism

Ensifentrine acts as a dual inhibitor of phosphodiesterase 3 and 4 (PDE3 and PDE4), exerting both bronchodilator and anti-inflammatory effects in the airways.

Approved Indication

Maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adult patients.

Ohtuvayre (ensifentrine) is an inhaled dual PDE3/PDE4 inhibitor indicated for the maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults. It provides both bronchodilation and anti-inflammatory benefits. Although not fully approved by NMPA in China (NDA under review as of early 2026), it can be clinically accessed in the Hainan Boao Pilot Zone.
