Drug Class

JAK1/JAK2 and ACVR1 inhibitor

Mechanism

Inhibits JAK1, JAK2, and ACVR1 (ALK2), reducing cytokine-mediated signaling and lowering hepcidin levels to address anemia and splenomegaly.

Treatment of intermediate or high-risk myelofibrosis (MF), including primary myelofibrosis, post-polycythemia vera myelofibrosis, and post-essential thrombocythemia myelofibrosis, in adults with anemia.

What This Means For Patients

Ojjaara (momelotinib) is a targeted oral kinase inhibitor for patients with intermediate or high-risk myelofibrosis who also suffer from anemia.
