Lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1) antagonist

Mechanism

Lifitegrast binds to lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1) and blocks its interaction with intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), inhibiting T-cell mediated ocular surface inflammation.

Approved Indication

Treatment of the signs and symptoms of dry eye disease (DED) in adults.
