Mechanism

Foslevodopa and foscarbidopa are soluble prodrugs of levodopa and carbidopa, converted in vivo to supply levodopa (a dopamine precursor) and carbidopa (a decarboxylase inhibitor) continuously.

Approved Indication

Treatment of advanced Parkinson's disease responsive to levodopa, with severe motor fluctuations.
