Imaavy nipocalimab

尼泊卡利单抗

Drug Class

Neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) blocker

Mechanism

Nipocalimab binds to the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) and blocks its interaction with immunoglobulin G (IgG), accelerating the clearance of pathogenic IgG autoantibodies.

Approved Indication

Treatment of generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG) in adult and pediatric patients (12 years and older) who are anti-AChR or anti-MuSK antibody positive.

What This Means For Patients

Imaavy (nipocalimab) is an FcRn-targeted monoclonal antibody approved for the treatment of generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG). Administered intravenously, it works by reducing circulating pathogenic IgG autoantibodies. It is available under special access pathways in the Hainan Boao Lecheng pilot zone.
