雷莫芦单抗 ramucirumab

雷莫芦单抗

Drug Class

VEGFR-2 antagonist monoclonal antibody

Mechanism

Binds specifically to VEGFR-2, blocking the binding of VEGF-A, VEGF-C, and VEGF-D, thereby inhibiting ligand-induced activation of VEGFR-2 and downstream angiogenesis.

Approved Indication

Treatment of patients with advanced or metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) adenocarcinoma, metastatic colorectal cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma.

What This Means For Patients

Ramucirumab (Cyramza) is a targeted monoclonal antibody approved by the FDA, EMA, and NMPA for gastric, colorectal, lung, and liver cancers. It works by blocking VEGFR-2 to inhibit tumor blood vessel growth (angiogenesis), depriving the tumor of nutrients. Eligible patients can access this treatment in the Boao Lecheng pilot zone under special import pathways.
