Inhibits megakaryocyte maturation and hypermaturation, reducing platelet production.

Approved Indication

Treatment of patients with thrombocythemia secondary to myeloproliferative neoplasms, to reduce the elevated platelet count and the risk of thrombosis.

What This Means For Patients

Agrylin (anagrelide) is a medication used to manage elevated platelet counts in patients with essential thrombocythemia. It works by regulating the maturation of megakaryocytes in the bone marrow. It is available in the Boao Lecheng pilot zone under the special-import policy.
